Feather & Clay Shooting was formed in 2021 when I, Steph Davey, decided to pursue my dream and become a self-employed shooting instructor.

I started shooting at the age of 25 when I was gifted a "have-a-go" introductory shooting lesson as a Christmas gift, and the rest, as they say, is history! 

Several shooting lessons, lots of practice on my own and with friends I met along the way, simulated game days and then my first day on peg, the realisation that I had found a sport that I wanted to become my career, hit me. Not only a fantastic sport that will challenge you and that can be extremely rewarding but also a great way to meet likeminded individuals, my mission to encourage more people to get involved, started.

Game shooting is something that I am truly passionate about and whilst still in full time employment I chose to spend as much time in the field during the game season as possible . It was then that I decided to get my Loaders qualification through Lantra. 

The next step was enrolling myself onto the CPSA Instructors Course and qualifying, not a small task but worth it. Since then I have been instructing groups and individuals, helping clients on their first game shoot and loading/double gunning!
